How to maintain the liquefied gas storage tank during outage?
Many lpg liquefied gas tanks are constructed by negligent maintenance during suspension of operation. In a sense, a liquefied gas storage tank that is poorly maintained during decommissioning is damaged even faster than a normal container, because decommissioning pressure vessels are not only corroded by residual media in the container that has not been eradicated, but also by atmospheric corrosion. So how to maintain the liquefied gas storage tank during outage?

In the atmosphere, after the air that has not been filled with water is cooled to a certain temperature, the water vapor will condense from the air and gather into a water film to cover up the appearance of the liquefied gas storage tank. Assuming that the surface of the metal is rough or there is dust and dirt attached to the surface, perhaps the anti-corrosion layer is damaged, etc., it is easier for water vapor to separate and gather in these parts of the liquefied gas storage tank. Nitrogen, oxygen and other gas impurities in the air, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen chloride, etc. can all be dissolved in the water film to form an electrolyte solution, so it has the conditions of electrochemical corrosion.
Atmospheric temperature and humidity are the most important factors affecting corrosion, and the impurities in the air, the chemical composition of the wall material of LPG storage tank, the roughness and contamination of the wall surface of LPG storage tank are the second.
